Week #2 in the City

This is a view from my apartment....Yes there is a little balcony to sit out on ..which I love to ..but the problem is I do not get a lot of studying done when I do that :)

Last Friday Night we went to Times Square Church...the youth played out The Cross and Switchblade and then we walked Times Square.....Really enjoyed

God knew I needed to have Spring in the City :):)

Today we went to the subway station in out outreach time ...we sang and passed out tracts...I really enjoyed that!!!!!!

The weeks are so full and I love it....Hard for me to believe that the second week is almost over!!!!Weekend is catch up time..studying etc. Haven't found s lot of time to get bored yet!!!! Even tho last weekend I really missed home and my church family....:(

On Monday we have our first test...they say nobody fails....the lower the score the longer you need to stay on the Mission Field....Told them that is OK with me...cause I do not know where I am going!!!!!!

Got to get back to studying...have verses to memorize...reports to write...books to read...

We have to have our lights out by 11 which is a good thing....:)  Only problem 5:30 am comes to soon....

New York City Life

Hi from The Big Apple....
Well the first 2 days have been amazing!!!!! Not sure how I am going to be able to store 5 weeks of this into my brains!!!!
There is a "ton" to learn...and yes I am even with a bunch of "young" people...they keep me young....hope I can keep up with them for 5 weeks!!!!!

Our classes start at 8:15 am. so NO sleeping in :)...Supper is at 5:30 in evening.

Every afternoon they send us out on the streets... Yesterday we had 2 hrs. with only a map..had to turn our cell phones off... We had to find a store that had live eels and get the price...pass out 10 tracts...(which can be very interesting when in this community alone they have approx. 140 differant languages)....ask 3 people if they know Jesus and a bunch more...but you get the drift....

Evenings are spent visiting..playing games...catching up on your homework :)

This evening a group went out to Staten Island...did not have the energy..wanted to "chill"..:):)

Every Wednesday is Prayer and Fasting...next Wed. they are asking that we use NONE of our tech..no computors..cell phone etc. :)

In another apartment with 2 girls...the 3rd one is coming next week...Keeps life interesting....

Friday will be a very interesting day..every day is:)...First we are going to be introduced to Islam...then visit a Mosque...and then in the evening we have the oppurtunity to watch the Cross and the Switchblade at a Times Square Church!!! Always wanted to see that...
