Back in NYC :)

I am amazed how God has been directing my steps!!!
When I came to the City to go through LTO, I did not know what the next step will be. During LTO I was asked to come back for the summer to cook for the groups that come through here. I felt this is what God wants me to do. Amazing how God gives you a "heart" for something..It all goes back to where He wants you at the time!!!!
My brother and his family and Mom brought me here Monday June 3. Felt like I was coming back home..Yes it was hard to see them go..and I had my share of being "homesick" the last 2 weeks!!!
The first thing I did when I got here after my family left was "plant" my little garden out on my balcony, before I even unpacked!!!!
Very neat to see my stuff grow :):)

Onions and lettuce. Have 2 planters with lettuce. Need to do some transplanting once it gets bigger.

The first couple days I spent unpacking...going through the kitchen etc. to see what is here and what I have to work with. There was a group here Monday and Tuesday night so on Wednesday I cleaned, and walked to Aldi's with my cart and did some shopping for the group that was here Thursday - Sunday evening. I had this cart FULL and wanted to take a picture ...was so tired when I got back and such energetic young ladies willing to help me that I did not get a picture taken. :}Had a great "group" to cook for!!!!!I really enjoyed them.

Monday and Tuesday back to cleaning and washing again :} Monday evening I went with Henry's to a Home School  thing they had at Follower's. I really enjoyed that!!

Tuesday evening they had a church picnic. Here it ended being a "welcome/grocery" shower for Seth, Heather and I. Was so blessed. I am saving some stuff for when I get visitors:):)..Hint Hint :):)

Thursday I got a few girls to help me bake cookies. That was a "bright" spot in my "dreary" week. We had a LOT of rain this past week.

I love these girls and really want to do a lot more stuff with them :)

Friday evening we had went to my favorite place to sing ..Jackson Heights. Henry's had visitors so they went along. On the way over to the church passed this "cute" little boy on the street that I said Hi to and he came up and gave me a "big" hug. My heart M-E-L-T-E-D.

Singing went SO well ....the children did so well....and I could tell seeing little children sing really blessed people!!!! Even tho a few of them where tired!!!

Today was an AWESOME day!!!! Beautiful sunny day. Not to warm ...just right:):)
Seth, Heather and I decided to go to Roosevelt Island. We had heard there is a Farmers Market there. We found it!!! People from Lewisburg,Pa. come up for that. Even some "valley" people that go along!!!!

Enjoyed the view..while eating Red Raspberries..

Took the cable car over the river to Manhattan

Visited the New York Library. Did not take pictures inside cause we where not suppose to :(. A beautiful place tho.

When we got back, Heather and I went to target to get her a microwave. Carried it home :):) Needless to say we had a very nice walk and we took turns carrying it :):)

We where so hungry when we got back we had to have a Gyro !!!!!

So this is a quick "tour" of my last two weeks. There is no group coming in until next weekend. My sis is having a yard sale Tuesday and Wednesday next week. I was "encouraged" to go home while I have a chance!!!! So if someone wants to see me you can text me and I will tell you where the yard sale is!!! Plan leaving here Monday on the train and come back Thursday!!!!

I do not know where God wants me after my 3 months are up..but this is my "motto"

The most important thing to determine is what to do right now. Instead of scanning the horizon of your life, looking for things that need to be done, concentrate on the task before you and the One who never leaves your side. Let everything else fade into the background. This will unclutter your mind, allowing Me to occupy more and more of your consciousness.

Trust Me to show you what to do when you have finished what you are doing now. I will guide you step by step, as you bend your will to Mine. Thus you stay close to Me on the path of Peace.
